IT services provider HCL Technologies on Thursday said it has entered into a multi-year outsourcing services agreement with Finland-based mobile handset maker Nokia for an undisclosed sum.
As per the agreement, HCL would provide global helpdesk and desktop management services to Nokia in 76 countries through its delivery centers in Finland, Poland, China, the US and India, HCL said in a statement.
The contract includes multilingual helpdesk services in 13 languages, global account management, workstation packaging, creation and maintenance, workstation security management and onsite support services, it added.
"Nokia has a very large footprint across the world and a much diversified end user base. Through this engagement we will aim to deliver a predictive, and standardised end user computing experience to its end users," HCL Technologies Vice President and Head -- Nordic Region -- Liselotte Hägertz Engstam said.
HCL has also opened a delivery centre in Helsinki, Finland, which would have 100 people supporting near-shore delivery for HCL’s clients in the Nordic and Baltic region.
