Media firm HT Media today posted a 60.92 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 38.80 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010.

This is against a net profit of Rs 24.11 crore registered in the same period last year, HT Media said in a filing to the BSE. Total income of the company rose to Rs 445.54 crore in the September quarter from Rs 350.02 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
"We are seeing a visible improvement in the macro environment, which in turn has translated into strong financial and operating performance" HT Media Chairperson and Editorial Director Shobhana Bhartia said.
Revenues from advertising for the print segment increased to Rs 329.4 crore, while circulation revenues dipped to Rs 41.8 crore. Revenue from Radio and Entertainment segment(Fever 104) grew to Rs 14.1 crore during the reported quarter.
