IT major IBM on Wednesday said it has inked a three-year agreement with HFCL Group for implementing its blade server technology to help increase efficiency and cost saving.
This agreement includes the deployment of BladeCentre technology and X3650 servers, which will provide significant savings on power and cooling, lowering total cost of ownership and increasing productivity, IBM said in a statement.
The solution will support the telecom equipment maker HFCL's billing, mail and IPTV application infrastructure especially with their recent investment in an IPTV project 'Smart Digvision', it added.
"Globally and in India, IBM is the leading solutions provider to the telecommunications industry. We believe our expertise in this segment and breadth of products and services will help companies tackle the explosive Indian and global telecom market," IBM Director (Systems and Technology Group-India and South Asia) Mukul Mathur said.
