
IIM-A gets EQUIS accreditation
The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) has been accredited by EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System), leading international accreditation body for international business schools.
IIM-A has thus became the only business school in India to obtain international accreditation, an official release issued in Ahmedabad on Wednesday said.
IIM-A is one among the 113 EQUIS-recognised schools among 33 countries to have attained international accreditation, it said.
EQUIS is international system of Quality Assessment, Quality Improvement and Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions in management administration.
While accrediting management schools, EQUIS looks for balance between high academic quality and the professional relevance provided by close interaction with the corporate world, the release added.
