Jiofiber to launch postpaid service from June 17: All you need to know

Telecom operator Reliance Jio is set to roll out Jiofiber postpaid broadband service in the country from Thursday, news agency PTI reported.

At present, Jio charges ₹1,500 as an installation charge for new connections.
The broadband service will be available in two plans — six-month plan and a 12-month plan.
The customers who apply for Jiofiber postpaid connection, however, will have to choose either a six-month or a 12-month plan starting at a price of ₹399 per month.
"In case customers want to subscribe for a higher plan which has over-the-top services for entertainment then the customer will have to pay a ₹1,000 refundable security deposit," PTI reported.

Last week, the company introduced five new plans with 'no daily limit' prepaid mobility offerings. The plans listed on the company's website start from ₹127 for 15-days-validity, offering 12 GB of uncapped daily data.
In its annual report, Jio's parent Reliance industries claimed that Jio is accelerating the rollout of digital platforms and indigenously-developed next-generation 5G stack.
According to the report, Reliance Jio has built sufficient network capacity for the next 300 million mobile broadband subscribers, over 50 million fibre homes and 50 million micro, small and medium businesses, it said.
To date, Jio has been granted 371 patents across multiple jurisdictions. In FY 2020-21 alone, the company filed for 38 patents and was granted 40.
