"In order to create a focused Life Sciences Entity, the Company's name is being changed to Jubilant Life Sciences," said Shyam S. Bhartia, chairman & MD and Hari S. Bhartia, co-chairman & MD of Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd.

Meanwhile, Jubilant said it has made an open offer to buy all outstanding shares of the US-based Cadista Holdings.

The cost of the purchase will be around $6.2 million (Rs 28 crore), based on the current offer price of $0.30 per share, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The tender offer is being extended directly to Cadista's shareholders and the offer documents will be given to only the minority share holders, it said.
