Nambiar new Civil Aviation Secretary

M Madhavan Nambiar has been appointed the Civil Aviation Secretary replacing Ashok Chawla, who has been posted as Secretary in Department of Economic Affairs in the Finance Ministry.

Nambiar, a 1974 batch IAS officer from Tamil Nadu cadre, was earlier Special Secretary in the Information Technology Department in the Communications and IT Ministry.

Chawla is expected to hand over charge to Nambiar on Wednesday, an official spokesperson said.
