Oil secretary S Sundareshan said on Friday a leakage in a pipeline of state-run oil explorer Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC) will be plugged soon.

Earlier, the state-run oil explorer said a leakage had been detected in a pipeline at its off-shore operations about 80 kilometres off Mumbai coast.
A company statement said emergency response had been activated and a loss of 25,000 barrels in production was estimated.
He also reiterated a share sale in ONGC will happen in March, as planned.
ONGC has mandated six banks for its follow-on public offer to raise about $3 billion, IFR reported this month.
