Revenue up but grasim’s Q3 net dips 13%

Aditya Birla Group company Grasim Industries saw a 13% dip in its net profit, even though the consolidated revenue rose by 13% at R5,461 crore.
The results include the financials of Star Cement Company and its subsidiaries, which were acquired by UltraTech Cement, a subsidiary of Grasim.
The viscose staple fibre business remained strong, driven by demand, while the cement business has been hit by excess supply and higher energy costs.
