Rupee weakens by 29 paise against dollar in early trade
The Indian rupee depreciated by 29 paise to 46.73 a dollar in early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange today on capital outflows by foreign funds and the dollar's gain overseas.

The Indian rupee depreciated by 29 paise to 46.73 a dollar in early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange on Thursday on capital outflows by foreign funds and the dollar's gain overseas.
The rupee had ended 4 paise higher at 46.44 a dollar in the previous session.
Forex dealers said fresh capital outflows by foreign funds from equities in tandem with weakening global markets and dollar's strength versus major currencies, mainly weighed on the rupee sentiment.
Meanwhile, the Bombay Stock Exchange index, Sensex, fell by 172.02 points, or 0.97 per cent, to 17,528.88 points in the opening trade today.
