SAIL wins India's Employers of Choice Award 2007

The Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has won the India's Employers of Choice Award-2007 in the public sector undertaking category.

The award has been instituted by CNBC-TV18 with U21 Global and partnered by Watson Wyatt Worldwide and Jobstreet.com.

Sources in the Rourkela Steel Plant, a unit of SAIL, on Friday said the award was a testimony to the success of SAIL's human resources interventions and initiatives for the motivation of employees.

The defined objective of the award was to recognise progressive companies that have managed to evolve, innovate and adapt themselves so as to set new standards in people practices not only in India but also abroad, the sources said.
