The market was closed on Friday on account of Eid-ul-Zuha.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE)'s 50-share index Nifty also slipped by 281.20 points or 4064 per cent to 5766.50 during the past week due to profit booking.

The market experienced high volatility throughout the week and is expected to remain volatile in the coming week also as in derivative segment December contracts will expire on December 27.

Foreign Institutional Investors (FII's) remained net sellers during the last fortnight. They may resort to year-end profit booking starting next week.

However, some stockbrokers believe that speculators may start building positions towards the end of the month on the expectations of good corporate results.
