Taco Bell chain to start this year

Kentucky based Yum! Restaurants International which runs two of its chains, Pizza Hut and Kentucky Fried Chicken, in India, is now all set to bring Taco Bell, known for its Mexican cuisine.

Kentucky based Yum! Restaurants International which runs two of its chains, Pizza Hut and Kentucky Fried Chicken, in India, is now all set to bring Taco Bell, known for its Mexican cuisine.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Milind Pant, chief marketing officer, Yum! Restaurants International- Indian sub continent said, “It should happen some time this year,” he said.

“We will open about 200 new restaurants in the next two years. These will be divided between the three brands,” he said.At an average set-up cost of Rs 2 crore per store, this exercise will involve investments of Rs 400 crore, beween Yum! and its franchisees.

Pizza Hut has 147 outlets in 34 cities, while KFC is present in 11 cities through its 48 outlets.
