It is worthwhile working for at least three years in a KPO firm. It is also worth remembering that a “body is not a body” — humans are not fungible — and that it is the domain expertise that counts.

Because of the nature of the work, ‘soft skills’ are significantly more important in the KPO industry than in the IT or BPO ones, and these include presentation, leadership and project management skills.
