In the backdrop of the world economic crisis, the overarching theme of this year’s meet is “Shaping the Post-Crisis World”.

The World Economic Forum would look at the immediate crisis facing the world and ways to stabilise and re launch the global economy.

The annual meeting programme also pinpoints a number of interrelated global risks including climate change, food and water security.

There will be a special session on India which will examine how India can stimulate its economy.

Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Science and Technology Minister Kapil Sibal and Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel will also participate in the programme.
