Harley-Davidson X440 gets a price cut, now starts at ₹2.35 lakh

Harley Davidson has reduced the prices of the X440 in India, with the Vivid and S variants now more affordable than before. Here are the updated prices.

Harley-Davidson has announced a price cut on the X440. The motorcycle will now be offered only in Vivid and S variants. The Vivid variant has received a price cut of ₹20,000, so it is now priced at ₹2,34,500, whereas the S trim now costs ₹24,600 less at ₹2,54,900. Both prices are ex-showroom. The brand has decided to discontinue the base Denim variant.

Apart from this, Harley-Davidson has not made any changes to the X440. It will continue to serve as the entry point into the portfolio of the brand.

What is the difference between the Vivid and S variants of the Harley-Davidson X440?

The Vivid variant misses out on diamond-cut alloy wheels, bronze and machined engine finish and connected features. There is also a difference in the colour options. The Vivid is offered in Mustard, Goldfish Silver, Metallic Thick Red, and Metallic Dark Silver colour schemes. When compared, the S variant is offered only in Matte Black and Baja Orange.

What powers the Harley-Davidson X440?

The X440 is powered by a single-cylinder, 440 cc unit that puts out 27 bhp of max power at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque output of 38 Nm at 4,000 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch. The engine is smooth, torquey and is followed by a sweet and raspy exhaust note.

What are the underpinnings of the Harley-Davidson X440?

Harley-Davidson is using a trellis frame for the X440, which is suspended by 43 mm KYB upside-down forks in the front and twin gas charged shock absorbers at the rear, which come with 7-step pre-load adjustability. Braking duties are performed by a 320 mm disc in the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear. There is dual-channel anti-lock braking system on offer.
