Skoda Kushaq facelift to launch in India tomorrow; New teaser reveals more details
Skoda will launch the Kushaq facelift in India tomorrow, with new teasers revealing updated lighting, design cues and expected feature upgrades.
Skoda Auto India is all set to launch the facelifted Kushaq tomorrow, and ahead of the official reveal, the brand has released a fresh teaser that sheds more light on what to expect from the updated compact SUV. Unlike earlier glimpses that focused largely on silhouettes, the latest visual highlights key lighting elements and offers clearer cues about the facelift’s design direction.

Rather than presenting the teaser in a conventional studio setup, Skoda has leaned into a distinctly Indian cultural reference. The SUV appears draped under a green cover in a mustard field, a setting instantly associated with the Bollywood classic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Accompanied by the line “Get ready to fall in love,” the teaser signals Skoda’s intent to give the Kushaq a more emotional, aspirational appeal, going beyond a routine mid-cycle refresh.

Skoda Kushaq facelift: New look outside
Even under the flowing green cover, several exterior updates are easy to spot. Up front, the Kushaq facelift is expected to feature a full-width LED daytime running light strip, flanked by sharper LED lighting elements. A reworked grille also appears to be part of the update, giving the SUV a cleaner and more confident face.
The rear sees equally noticeable changes. The teaser confirms illuminated ‘SKODA’ lettering across the tailgate, along with a connected LED light bar. These elements mirror Skoda’s newer global models and should help the Kushaq look wider and more premium on the road compared to the current version.

Skoda Kushaq facelift: Cabin upgrades likely
While Skoda has not revealed the interior yet, the facelift is expected to bring meaningful improvements inside the cabin. A panoramic sunroof is widely anticipated, along with a fully digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system is also likely to be upgraded with a larger touchscreen and fresher graphics, helping the Kushaq stay competitive against newer rivals in the compact SUV space.

Skoda Kushaq facelift: Minor mechanical tweaks expected
Under the bonnet, major changes are unlikely, but a few updates could enhance the driving experience. The 1.5-litre TSI variants are expected to gain rear disc brakes, which should improve braking performance. Higher trims with both the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines may also offer Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.
One notable change could be in the transmission lineup. Early indications suggest that the 1.5-litre TSI engine may now be offered only with a DSG automatic, with the six-speed manual potentially being discontinued.
With the launch just a day away, all details, including variants and pricing, will soon be official. The Kushaq facelift will play a key role in strengthening Skoda’s position in one of India’s most competitive SUV segments.
