3 held in Karnal for ‘honour killing’
The local police have arrested three people for their alleged role in the suspected honour killing at Bhaini Kalan village of the district.

The local police have arrested three people for their alleged role in the suspected honour killing at Bhaini Kalan village of the district.
On Wednesday morning, Manoj and Kiran, who were in their early twenties, were cremated secretly at their native village, about 20 km from here.
They belonged to marginal Ahir families of the same village and the respective families did not approve of the relationship of the couple.
The police said Kiran’s father Randhir Singh and Manoj’s brothers Sandeep and Dharambir were arrested on l at e Friday ni ght. Charged with administering poisonous substance to the couple, the trio was produced in a local court on Saturday. The court sent them in three-day police remand.
