Ajay Yadav takes back resignation, eyes CM’s chair
Four days after quitting as state power minister, senior Congress leader Capt Ajay Yadav on Saturday said that on the assurance of party president Sonia Gandhi, he had decided to withdraw his resignation.
Yadav had put the party in limbo after accusing Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda of disparity in jobs. He has also negated rumours of his defection to BJP. Still maintaining his stance against Hooda, he said that though lots of development-related work was done in south Haryana, this part of state was completely ignored when it came to providing jobs.
Yadav said that he was unhappy with the power ministry but on the request of Haryana in-charge of Congress party, Shakeel Ahmad, he held on.
Staking his claim for the CM’s post, he said that if he was offered a chance to lead, he would willingly abide by the party’s decision.
