Ambika Soni spent most on poll campaigning in Anandpur Sahib

Congress candidate Ambika Soni incurred the maximum expenditure on her election campaign among all other candidates of Anandpur Sahib constituency during the Lok Sabha elections.

Congress candidate Ambika Soni incurred the maximum expenditure on her election campaign among all other candidates of Anandpur Sahib constituency during the Lok Sabha elections.

As per Rupnagar district election office' observation, Soni's total expenditure on election campaign comes out to be `61,53,091, which includes `11,16,400 on vehicles, `18,67,298 on advertisements, and `31,67,393 on rallies.

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Prem Singh Chandumajra came second with an expenditure of `60,05,308, which included `16,11,695 on vehicles, `16,02,308 on advertisements, and `27,91,018 on rallies.

Chandumajra was followed by Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate KS Makhan, who spent `24,19,173 on the campaign, including `17,14,110 on vehicles, `2,54,443 on advertisements, and `4,50,620 on rallies.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Himmat Singh Shergill spent the least amount of `14,23,008, with `7,90,150 on vehicles, `4,56,287 on advertisements, and `1,76,571 on rallies.

The maximum limit on the expenditure was `70 lakh, and all candidates incurred expenses within the limit.
