Army holds tour for Lamas

In a bid to make the civilian population in Eastern Ladakh connect with the national mainstream, the army has arranged an educational/motivational tour for 22 Lamas from district headquarters Nyoma to Chandigarh, Amritsar, and Dharamsala.

In a bid to make the civilian population in Eastern Ladakh connect with the national mainstream, the army has arranged an educational/motivational tour for 22 Lamas from district headquarters Nyoma to Chandigarh, Amritsar, and Dharamsala.

The Lamas interacted with the Chief of Staff, Western Command and they will also meet with the 14th Dalai Lama at Dharamsala now.

In Chandigarh, they visited Rock Garden, Rose Garden, Pinjore Lake, Sect 17 market and various shopping malls. In Amritsar, the Lamas will visit Jallianwala Bagh, Golden Temple and witness the joint parade of India and Pakistan at Wagah Border.
