Arvind Khanna hails Rahul Gandhi's elevation

Punjab Congress today welcomed the elevation of Rahul Gandhi to the vice-president's post of the All India Congress Committee saying it will imbibe new vigour in the party.

Punjab Congress general secretary and Dhuri MLA Arvind Khanna on Sunday hailed the elevation of Rahul Gandhi as the vice-president of the All India Congress Committee, saying that it would imbibe new vigour in the party.

"The much-awaited elevation has sent party workers and leaders into jubilation across the country," he added. He maintained that everybody in the Congress was looking forward to Rahul to lead in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections as he had emerged as an icon for the youth of the country.
