Badal to meet Prez today on Rajoana case

Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal dashed to New Delhi today to meet legal luminaries on the death warrants issued by the Chandigarh court for the execution of Babbar Khalsa militant Balwant Singh Rajoana at the Patiala central jail on March 31.

Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal dashed on Tuesday to New Delhi to meet legal luminaries on the death warrants issued by the Chandigarh court for the execution of Babbar Khalsa militant Balwant Singh Rajoana at the Patiala central jail on March 31.

According to Badal's media advisor Harcharan Bains, chief minister is scheduled to meet President Pratibha Patil on Wednesday for clemency to Rajoana, a co-accused in the assassination of then Punjab chief minister Beant Singh on August 31, 2995.
