Bank manager held for taking Rs 1 lakh bribe
A flying squad of the Punjab vigilance bureau from SAS Nagar arrested the manager of Sherpur (Sangrur) branch of Primary Cooperative Agriculture Development Bank (PCADB) while accepting a bribe of ` 1 lakh from a farmer.

A flying squad of the Punjab vigilance bureau from SAS Nagar arrested the manager of Sherpur (Sangrur) branch of Primary Cooperative Agriculture Development Bank (PCADB) while accepting a bribe of ` 1 lakh from a farmer.
When contacted, vigilance bureau SP Hargobind Singh confirmed that manager Surinder Garg was arrested caught redhanded accepting the bribe on the complaint of Amarjit Singh of Sikandarpura village in Sangrur.
Amarjit had filed a complaint at the vigilance bureau headquarters that the Garg was demanding ` 1 lakh as bribe to sanction him a loan of ` 10 lakh.
A case against Garg has been registered under the relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act at SAS Nagar vigilance bureau office.
