Bansal clean chit aimed at protecting PM: BJP
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claimed on Wednesday that the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI's) move to give the clean chit to former railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal in the railway bribery scam by not naming him in the chargesheet was an attempt to protect the Prime Minister.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claimed on Wednesday that the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI's) move to give the clean chit to former railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal in the railway bribery scam by not naming him in the chargesheet was an attempt to protect the Prime Minister.
BJP spokesperson Vijay Sonkar Shastri said: "The CBI has given the clean chit to Bansal. It establishes that the CBI has now become a tool in the hands of the union government. The CBI is trying to protect the PMO and the PM."
