The IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla told HT the franchise were given “one month”, and not a fortnight as reported earlier, to resolve the issue.

However, the BCCI have strongly responded to comments by the chairman of DC's parent company, Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd., T Venkattram Reddy, that talks to sell the franchise are at an “advanced stage”. “There is no way they can sell the team without first clearing the illegal loan they have taken from the banks against the IPL team,” a BCCI insider told HT.
