These candidates are Sukhwinder Kotli (Jalandhar), Bha gwan Singh Chauhan ( Hoshiar pur), KS Makhan (Anandpur Sahib), Raj Kumar Prajapati (Ferozepur), Succha Singh Mann (Khadoor Sahib), Pardeep Singh Walia (Amritsar), Ram Singh Dhiman (Patiala), Sant Ram Malia (Faridkot), Kuldip Singh (Bathinda), Savjit Singh Khalsa (Fatehgarh Sahib), Navjot Singh Jarg (Ludhiana) and Sukhwinder Singh Sukh (Gurdaspur).

The party’s candidate for Sangrur would be announced soon, BSP general secretary Narendra Kashyap said at a press conference here.

He stated that neither the SAD-BJP nor the Congress had any concern for the poor and downtrodden people in the state.

“The Akali- BJP gover nment wants that poor Dalits and other deprived sections should remain dependent on schemes such as the atta-dal instead of creating opportunities in the state for them to become self-reliant.”

He refuted charges that the BSP contested the 2012 Punjab assembly polls alone to divide the secular vote bank of the Congress and to benefit the SAD.
