In a statement released here on Friday, Capt Amarinder said, Hon'ble SC orders had vindicated his stand that the appointment on such constitutional posts should be above board and beyond any suspicion and doubt.

He stated that the SC judgment dismissing the appeal against the rejection of Harish Rai Dhanda's appointment will set a healthy precedent for the appointment to such constitutional posts and will also ensure that nepotism, favouritism and political consideration are not there.

He said Dhanda was an activist of the Akali Dal and served as an Akali MLA also which was enough reason for anyone to question his impartiality while performing his duties as head of a constitutional body like Public Service Commission.
