Travel between Yamunanagar and Panchkula is all set to get faster as the Centre, an official said, has approved the four-lanning of a section of the National Highway 73 that connects the two Haryana cities.

The project costing Rs 935 crore has been allocated to Gaman India Private Limited and a bypass connecting Kalanaur town and Kail village will also be constructed to improve the flow of traffic. The announcement came in a meeting of chaired by chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at Yamunanagar last evening.
Once completed, the project would help decongest traffic coming from Uttar Pradesh and improve the situation in Yamunagar too, the CM said.
