Chandigarh 23rd among world's top outsourcing destinations

Union territory of Chandigarh has been ranked 23rd in the list of world's top outsourcing destinations, besides four Indian cities acquiring four out of top five slots. Bangalore retained its top ranking for another year with Mumbai at the third position, followed by Delhi-NCR at fourth and Chennai at the fifth position.

The Tholons report has been acknowledged as the de facto ranking of outsourcing cities around the world.

According to 2014 Tholons Top 100 Outsourcing Destinations Rankings report, there are nine other Indian cities that have made it to the list and include Hyderabad, Pune, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Metro Manila in the Philippines secured the second position.
