Following the audit, the administration had in its 700-page response alleged that it was subjective, selective, inconsistent and one-sided.
In its 382-page response, the ministry called the administration’s reply an eyewash.
The ministry, which stood by its observations made in the audit, said the administration should have addressed the shortcomings in land allotment and taken appropriate action.
On the one hand the administration tried to take farmers’ land “at a very low price” citing larger public good, while on the other it allotted land to companies “at throwaway prices”, the ministry said.
