Cops get 2 calls on special helpline

The local police on Saturday received two calls on the special helpline launched by the UT police for city residents. According to the police, one call was related to a brawl, while a retired police officer made a call suggesting the police not to disclose the number of residents, who tip-off the police on various violations.

According to the police, one call was related to a brawl, while a retired police officer made a call suggesting the police not to disclose the number of residents, who tip-off the police on various violations.

Since the inception, the police have received a total of six calls on the helpline available during the night on mobile 9465121000 for their grievances.

The service has been launched by new IGP RP Upadhyaya. The police said if the residents need any help at night (from midnight to 5am), they could call the above mentioned number, if not 100.
