At present, the 27.7-km long expressway has two toll plazas on NH-8 — one at the Delhi border (also called Sirhol toll plaza) with 32 lanes and another at Kherki Daula with 18 lanes.

Around 2 lakh vehicles cross the Delhi border toll plaza daily. Commuters complain of long traffic jams during peak hours.

The HC division bench, headed by acting chief justice Jasbir Singh and justice Rakesh Kumar Jain, also made it clear that if the concessionaire failed to comply with its directions within the stipulated period, the court would be compelled to stop toll fee collection at the plaza.
