Finance panel to meet CM on Sept 7
A 17-member team of officials of the 14th Finance Commission, which is visiting Punjab from September 5 to 7, would meet chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on September 7.

A 17-member team of officials of the 14th Finance Commission, which is visiting Punjab from September 5 to 7, would meet chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on September 7.
An official spokesperson on Tuesday said the team, under the chairmanship of Dr YV Reddy, would meet representatives of rural and urban local bodies of the state and representatives of the trade and industry on September 6.
The departments of local bodies, rural development and panchayats, and the industry would give separate presentations to the commission. The commission has also convened a meeting of representatives of political parties to elicit their views. The team includes members Prof Abhijit Sen, Sushma Nath, Dr M Govinda Rao and Dr Sudipto Mundle.
