Governor to be chief guest at Haryana Day festival at KU on Oct 27
Kurukshetra University vice-chancellor Lt Gen DDS Sandhu (retd) has said governor Kaptan Singh Solanki will be the chief guest at “Ratnawali”, the state-level Haryana Day celebrations on October 27. The celebrations will be held from October 27 to 30 on the university campus.

Releasing the logo, brochure and schedule of the programme on Wednesday, the vice-chancellor said 3,000 students will take part in 28 events in the festival.
He added that in the times of new media an Android application, named as “Ratnawali”, will be available for a short period of time, which would help participants and people in getting regular updates of the festival.
Registrar KC Ralhan said preparations have been made for the festival and duties assigned to different authorities of the university. He said security issues have been discussed and accommodation facilities will be provided to students and participants of the festival.
Director of youth and cultural affairs of the university, Mahasingh Poonia said this year some new events have been added to the festival like “Haryanvi Pagri Pehno” competition and Haryanvi food court, with one sugar-free food stall.
