Graft-drenched Cong will pay in next elections: BJP
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national secretary Capt Abhimanyu on Monday said the Congress was in the habit of not admitting to the misdeeds of its ministers involved in the scams that had been unearthed of late.
"When the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India had unearthed the 2G scam, the Congress had termed it to be a baseless allegation. Later, the probe revealed the truth and guilty were put behind the bars. Similar is the case with the Coalgate scam. The Congress is denying it, but a thorough probe scam will bring the truth out," said Capt Abhimanyu while addressing a public meeting at Baas village near here on Monday.
The BJP leader said, "The Coalgate scam is the biggest-ever in the history of scams. Those involved in it should resign from the office and face the probe." The Congress would pay for its misdemeanours in the next general elections, Capt Abhimanyu said.
The Congress had never paid heed to the millions of starving people in the country and made no effort to check inflation, he said, adding that its leaders were busy in amassing wealth by hook or crook.
