Gurbaksh Singh granted bail, shifted to PGI
Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa arrested on December 6, for fasting unto death, was granted bail on Monday. He was also shifted toPost Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, on Monday in a serious condition.

Late in the evening PGI officials said his condition was stable.
Singh was on a hunger strike since November 14 at Gurudwara Amb Sahib in Phase 8, SAS Nagar. He was seeking the release of five Sikhs from Indian prisons who had completed their jail sentences but had not been released.
Singh was arrested under sections 107 (instigating any person to do a thing) and 151 (knowingly joining or continuing in assembly of five or more persons after it has been commanded to disperse) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and produced before the sub-divisional magistrate of SAS Nagar and remanded to 14-day judicial custody.
On the other hand, Ludhiana resident Damandeep Singh Khalsa, sat on a hunger strike on the same day as Gurbaksh Singh. Khalsa too was arrested for the same cause at Gurudwara Amb Sahib.
Meanwhile, Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale announced his support and decided to hold an open darbar with Damandeep Singh at Gurdwara Amb Sahib on December 13.
