Holiday in schools in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh on Monday

Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Sunday declared a holiday in all schools in the state on Monday, August 17, in view of the strenuous preparations by children for participation in the Independence Day functions on Saturday.

Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Sunday declared a holiday in all schools in the state on Monday, August 17, in view of the strenuous preparations by children for participation in the Independence Day functions on Saturday.

The Chandigarh administration has also declared a holiday for all schools in the union territory on Monday. Haryana schools and government offices would also remain closed on Monday as it has already been declared a holiday on the occasion of Teej festival.
