Home guard volunteer killed in road mishap
A 28-year-old home guard volunteer, Vinod Pandey, was killed in a road mishap after his motorcycle skidded here on Saturday evening. Giving details, police said victim’s motorcycle skidded on the dividing road of Sector 21 and Sector 34.

A 28-year-old home guard volunteer, Vinod Pandey, was killed in a road mishap after his motorcycle skidded here on Saturday evening.
Giving details, police said victim’s motorcycle skidded on the dividing road of Sector 21 and Sector 34.
The mishap took place at 9pm. He was posted with the traffic police and was in the police uniform. He was rushed to GMCH, Sector 32, but was declared brought dead.
Police said Pandey lost balance over his motorcycle while saving a cyclist and suffered serious head injuries, even though he was wearing helmet. The post-mortem examination will be conducted on Sunday.
