Kang threatens to resign from PPCC

Barely four days after the much awaited Punjab Pardesh Congress Committee (PPCC) list of office bearers was released, many senior leaders of the party have raised a banner of revolt against Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa for not being fair in picking up candidates for the newly constituted body.

Senior Congress leader, who is also MLA from Kharar, Jagmohan Singh Kang on Tuesday has threatened to resign from the post of general secretary of the PPCC saying while picking him up for the aforesaid position Bajwa ignored his seniority and merit in the party.

Punjab Pardesh Mahila Congress, president, Malti Thapar has already shot off a letter to AICC, vice president Rahul Gandhi and AICC, general secretary Shakeel Ahmed accusing Bajwa of completely ignoring the due representation of women candidates in the PPCC, list.

Bajwa, meanwhile remained elusive when approached to have his comments on the rebellion voices within the party.
