KS Pannu appointed Punjab Agro MD

Punjab government on Thursday transferred Punjab agriculture secretary Kahan Singh Pannu as the managing director of Punjab Agro with immediate effect.
Pannu remained secretary agriculture, working in the team of financial commissioner development Suresh Kumar for nearly 3 months, after his reshuffling from the education department as the director general school education (DGSE).
The former DGSE had locked horns with education minister Sikandar Singh Maluka over the scandalous purchases of school library books and lab science kits that even led the chief minister to constitute Jindal Commission to probe the entire scam.
