Hailing from Jamnagar in Gujarat, Roopesh Nawarkhele (35), working with British Council Child Care, and wife Kavita Nawarkhele were visiting relatives across the country.

Their nine-year-old daughter, Ananya Nawarkhele, was injured and has undergone an operation for rib injuries. She was sitting in the lap of the couple.
Talking to HT, Rupesh’s relative Geeta said they had landed here from the UK on July 29 and reached Dharamsala on August 19.
Geeta said Roopesh and his family were coming to meet her family in Delhi.
She added: “We were rendered speechless when we got a call at about 6 am from the police, informing us about the accident. We immediately started for Chandigarh.”
