
Man acquitted of dowry death charges
The local court of SAS Nagar has acquitted a resident of Mullanpur of the charges of dowry death on Friday. Mohan Singh got acquittal due to lack of evidence against him.

The local court of SAS Nagar has acquitted a resident of Mullanpur of the charges of dowry death on Friday. Mohan Singh got acquittal due to lack of evidence against him.
Dera Bassi resident Bhupinder Singh, the complainant of the case, said his daughter had married Mohan. But after the marriage, Mohan and his family members had started harassing her and demanded dowry.
On October 22, 2010 victim Rajinder Kaur committed suicide, but the police did not find and injury mark on her body. A case was registered on the complaint of the father of the deceased.
