Manpreet Badal resigns as MLA; likely to float new party

After more than five months of his expulsion from Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), former Punjab Finance Minister, Manpreet Singh Badal on Saturday has resigned as legislator from the 13th Vidhan Sabha.

After more than five months of his expulsion from Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), former Punjab Finance Minister, Manpreet Singh Badal on Saturday has resigned as legislator from the 13th Vidhan Sabha, and said he wanted a clean break up from the past.

Manpreet who was elected MLA from Gidderbaha constituency in 2007, on the SAD ticket, has forwarded his four page resignation to Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Nirmal Singh Kahlon for appropriate action.
