A 17-year-old girl of Taraori town was allegedly gangraped by 11 men at the railway station here late on Friday night.
The government railways police (GRP) arrested Ravi, a Taraori resident, here on Sunday.
The victim alleged that she was raped by Ravi and 10 others.
Lalit Kumar, station house officer of the Karnal GRP police station, said the station master of Bajida Jatan had spotted a couple in a compromising position at the railway station and informed the GRP officials on Friday.
"Thereafter, a police team rushed to the spot and caught the couple, but taking advantage of the dark, Ravi had fled the spot," he said.
Ravi was arrested on Sunday and a local court sent him to the judicial custody.
"The victim alleges that Ravi had falsely promised to marry her and compelled her to leave her house. But later, Ravi and his friends raped her," said the station house officer.
He said police teams were carrying out raids to nab other suspects and investigations were on.
