The SAS Nagar residents will now no longer have to visit police stations for the verification of their domestic help or tenants. Mohali Industries Association (MIA) and the SAS Nagar Police launched a mobile app that will enable residents to complete the registration process on Friday.

The app, named Smart24X7 was developed by a private company. An awareness session was also held at the launch function. MIA president Gurkirpal Singh said, “This application can be downloaded by residents on their phones and with just with a click of their finger they can download it and then register details about their domestic help and tenants and even workers. This application is further linked to the police department through which the information will get uploaded. With use of this app, residents will no longer have to visit the police station for submittin g such details.”

SAS Nagar SSP Inder Mohan Singh, who was present on the occasion, urged residents to use the app. CP Singh, who owns the company that developed the app said, “The application is not only for verification purpose. It will also enable residents to access to all important emergency numbers.”
