NSUI members demand removal of DSW

National student Union of India (NSUI) member Sunny Mehta submitted a memorandum before the Panjab University (PU) vice-chancellor (V-C) Arun Grover, demanding the removal of Dean Student Welfare (DSW) A S Ahluwalia, here this Wednesday.

Mehta said the dean had done nothing for the welfare of students. Other student leaders from NSUI maintained that he has been pro-authority and has not been student friendly. They alleged that Ahluwalia has failed to achieve anything substantial for the welfare of students, hence the memorandum.

In the memorandum, students have asked the V-C to appoint a new DSW with the consent of student leaders. It added that the DSW has always been biased.
