Panchkula to say no to drugs tomorrow

The ward has facilities such as a recreation room and indoor gymnasium for better treatment and rehabilitation of patients.

To generate awareness about the availability of the de-addiction facility in Panchkula and the harmful effects of substance abuse, a candlelight march will be taken out from the hospital to Town Park, Sector 5, at 5.30 pm on Saturday.

Various NGOs, students of nursing colleges and nearby government colleges, and health department personnel will participate in the rally.

Also, a street play has also been planned for the march.

Volunteers of non-governmental organisation Unnat will present the play on drug abuse. Later, members of the district chemist association will take an oath to not sell drugs without prescription. Prof NN Wig, a psychiatrist, will be the key speaker on the occasion.
