Panjab University implements revised rates of fellowships

Panjab University has implemented revised rates of the University Grants Commission (UGC) fellowships under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) by 55%.

As per the orders issued on February 3, the rate of a total of 15 fellowships has been revised which will be applicable with effects from December 1, 2014.

The MHRD had announced the increase in fellowship amounts in December last year.

Emeritus fellowship has been hiked from Rs 20,000 to Rs 31,000 per month. PG schola`hip for GATE/GPAT has been increased from Rs 8000 per month to Rs 12,400 per month.

Similarly, BSR-Faculty fellowship has been raised from Rs 30,000 to Rs 46,500 per month.
