Parties approach on health issues discussed
Jan Swasthya Abhiyan, Punjab, organised a meeting to discuss the approach of different political parties on health issues in their manifestos for the 16th Lok Sabha Elections 2014 here on Saturday.

Jan Swasthya Abhiyan, Punjab, organised a meeting to discuss the approach of different political parties on health issues in their manifestos for the 16th Lok Sabha Elections 2014 here on Saturday.
They observed that the government should provide health services through government institutions in rural areas, urban slums, hilly areas, tribal areas, and for the unorganised sections, including the casual labourers, street venders, hawkers, farmers etc.
Members said medicines should be provided free of cost at government hospitals by reducing costs of huge profits, change in patent laws, and by way of bulk purchases in a transparent manner.
